my story

i learned to cook in my grandmother's tiny kitchen in waterford, ct. i remember standing on a chair on sunday morning making french toast. my grandmother "tilly" always told me my cooking was wonderful... it probably wasn't but she gave me confidence in the kitchen at an early age. tilly left us a few years ago but i keep her skillet in my kitchen and it inspires me everyday.

i have two daughters in their 20's who are both wonderful cooks. i tried to instill in them that same confidence and i hope i can share that with you too. anyone can be a good cook as long as they are not afraid to try!
